The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the western end of Kangaroo Island, next to Flinders Chase National Park. Once farmland, the sanctuary is now a protected area where native animals and vegetation are conserved. At 2,000 hectares and comprising quality mallee woodlands and grass land, the sanctuary is famous for its abundant native bird and animal wildlife including the rare glossy black cockatoo. Enjoy wild koalas and the best of Australian native animals in the wild. We offer nocturnal tours and guided koala walks for an up 'close and personal' wildlife experience.
